New Gameday Chat
In addition to Enhanced Gameday, we have also launched a new version of our Gameday Chat product. The chat supports a live online community allowing fans to interact with each other while following the game. A chat room is available for each team while that team’s game is in progress and can be accessed using the links in the top-right of the Gameday window.
The new version of chat features an upgraded user interface and a more scalable platform driving the backend of the system. We hope the chat feature provides you with a more integrated community experience to further increase your enjoyment of Gameday.
Please share your comments on any improvements you’d like to see in chat for 2007. Thank you.

um ….Its not here. Seems the GODs of baseball decided we don’t need to chat yet which is sad because they get alot of new subscribers for MLB TV that way.
Well hopefully the button will return if not its me and XM this season.
Last year the chat wasn’t available the first week of the season. I’m not sure if that will be the case again this year or not.
OHH, This stinks, no chatrooms on MLB GAMEDAY.
Yet there is a good sign and a bad sign to all of this. good sign in chatting in gameday is that you can chat with fellow baseball members that like the same team. The bad sign is that we had all these trolls that would just leave non-sense over and over and wouldnt stop. They would sign out and then back in and do it all over again. But in my opinion I would love to be able to chat because I live far away from where my baseball team is located and i would tell them how was the weather and all of that good stuff.

I like the new enhanced gameday, however I seem to be having a problem. Everything seems to be working except for the SPD, BRK and PFX fields. They are all empty. I have tried it on both Firefox and IE. Is there something I need to install to get these features to work?

Last year, MLB gameday would not update: whatever info was available when I signed on was all I would get unless I went into Internet Options and deleted files and then reopened Gameday. Not so this year, so thank you!…but why drive us crazy looking for a team chat button when none exists? Please bring back the chat!
What chat button? This must be for the Yankees or Red Sox fan? I guess the Mexican League Teams don’t get the publicity like the BIG MONEY Teams? How about fixing this mess? It’s the nicest way i could say it!
Gamblertuba here. Hoping they get this new chat started soon. mlb.com has pathetic customer support. If they fix the trolling problem then great but even the old system is better than nothing.

The information is that there is a chat room for each team during the progress of the game that team is playing, but I sure can’t find it. No disrespect to fans of other teams, but this is useless. Us Phillies fans need our own private asylum to commiserate with each other. What gives, MLB??????

uh, can someone help me out? what is “TB” — i know what 2B (double) is; i know what 3b is (a triple); i even know what SB (stolen base) is but cannot for the life of me figure out what TB is?
I believe TB is total bases.
ie.
Single = 1
Double = 2
Triple = 3
Homerun = 4
ridiculous im a red sox fan who used to love talkin to fellow sox and yankee fans such as jorgesgirlie and sweetieq and now i can’t. and TB does mean Total Base… say if a homerun was hit you would get 4 and triple 3 double 2 and single 1.

What brainiac at MLB thought this bogus chat was a good idea? Did they ask anyone? They need to figure out what working and keep it, not sit around and figure out ways to scr*w it up big time. The new Gameday is slow, too much information and lacks scroll controls so you have to mouse over to see what the h*ll went down. Bad, bad, bad.

K Guys im a hugeeee Twins fan and since i live in Chicago it was tough for me to watch games, so i went to the mlb chat and got play by play from a lot of twins fans. So can somebody tell me the Twins chat please. And has anybody heard an update from MLB saying anything. A couple guys had told me that gameday chat would be coming up soon. First of all, to run the chatroom from last year, you must have java installed properly on your computer and optimized for you browser. It can be downloaded for free here: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Secondly, you must be logged in, at your team’s website, or any team website so that your user information can be transmitted between the Prospero Chat Servers.
To properly sign in, navigate to you team’s MLB.com website and click “Register – Log in”, located near the top. Then submit your user Email and password through the secure servers. Then use the appropriate team chat link from above.
Also, the chat may have been disabled for certain reasons. I am not sure what is the current status but, depending on your connection, the speed that which you are connected will vary.(Dial-up connection will take longer than broadband connections.
I followed your instructions: got the latest version of java, loged in at yankees.com clicked on a chat link and it says: Connecting to chat network… and nothing happenes when i type something i have a weird nick of G-23503454. (I have a broadband connection)

All three links that are posted here seem to be fine. At this point I am not sure what the exact problem is. Try to re-open the chat room page.
You may have to adjust your internet firewall and proxy settings but I do not think that will be necessary. If you have internet explorer it may be the problem because I cannot enter using that browser. Try Firefox.
Tryed firefox the same thing happenes… Hey maybe if you have msn or AIM messengers you can explain to me much better.

Does anyone know how to get the 3D pitch thing working, where it shows the pitch origination point and trajectory? I had it work ONE TIME, then it never worked again, and I don’t know what I did to make it work. I messed with the 2D 3D settings in Oprions, it does nothing, even with a reboot.

I found the gameday chat tonight. I was in the Phillies gameday chat. But they kicked you out. I couldn’t even send a message in there. I left the room and I tried to go into the Arizona Diamondbacks chat. I got banned. I don’t even know why I was banned!!!!
